TO BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG ?

If Shakespeare is alive today he will probably ask the question above instead of me. Not that I am trying to compare myself to him. NO WAY man-not in a million years. Basically I started this blog to make it a blog FOR senior citizens and BY  senior citizens.( I hope any of you senior bloggers reading this out there can help me on this as I am a baby(newbie) as you can see from the quality of this site.

Anyway things will definitely get better as I also get support and training from my blogging mentors - Dechen Lau and Keith Ng, thank you guys. Without both of you I don’t think I can embark on this journey successfully.

For most senior citizens it is important that you are not broke, lay idle and suffer ill health at this age and most important NOT all of them at the same time. In fact these three  “blokes” are the major worries and enemies of most senior citizens if not all. It is for this reason that senior citizens should consider blogging.

If you are broke or  going to be broke (hopefully not) then blogging can be an additional source of income for you. No one goes broke through blogging and certainly blogging can aliviate a broken heart (due to love, being retrenched or a life uninspired) for blogging  can provide an outlet for anyone to express their suppressed emotions.

If you are idle or don’t know what to do with your retirement years then blogging can be a source of enjoyment and intellectual stimulation for you. With the vast amount of experiences and wisdom ( and perhaps wealth) accumulated through the years, I am sure you as senior citizen won’t run out of topics and ideas to share to the blogging community.

I am 81 years old and I have a blog http://audreykaminski.blogspot.com/ I grew up in Baltimore with many happy memories. There was a time when I thought I would never leave the city because of all it’s convenience. If you didn’t have a car you could ride a street car. Going down town was always a great pleasure. There were large Department stores, theaters and museums. Where I lived you could walk to the zoo, movie theater and a roller rink.
